As a dentist, I am passionate about giving people the smile and function they always wanted. It is very rewarding to take a person with tooth pain or some form of loss of dental function and relieve their pain or restore their ability to chew, talk, and smile with confidence.
~ Dr. Colton Carmical
Education and Experience
Growing up, Dr. Colton Carmical was drawn to the health sciences. When it came time to choose a career path, it made sense to choose one where he would have a good mentor: his father, Dr. Douglas Carmical!
Prior to dental school, Dr. Carmical completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Arkansas. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Once dental school was complete, he joined his father in the family practice.
Carmical Dentistry
Dr. Carmical is pleased to work with a talented team and appreciates how each staff member is dedicated to their patients’ safety and comfort. He feels it is a bonus that everyone gets along so well too, and would not want to work with any other staff!
At Carmical Dentistry, the doctors and staff make sure every patient feels comfortable and important. Each patient receives a level of individual care and attention unavailable at other practices: from being available at any time for a dental emergency to follow-up after procedures, the doctors and their team show each patient that they are valued as an individual.
Continuing Education
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Carmical has dedicated many hours to continuing education (CE). By staying up to date on the latest dental technologies and techniques, he is able to expand treatment options for patients and ensure they receive the highest quality of care.
In addition to CE courses on the latest trends in general dentistry, Dr. Carmical seeks out classes and training on services most relevant to meeting patient needs. He has studied implant restoration, improved denture fabrication techniques, and Invisalign® clear aligner therapy, with a focus on restoring teeth and improving function and smiles.
Beyond the Practice
Born and raised in Rogers, Dr. Carmical has resided in Bella Vista since returning from school. He shares his life with retired racing greyhound Mordecai; Poptart, who is a cat; the new kitten, Earl; and his girlfriend, Maeghen.
When he’s not working, or studying the latest dental journal, Dr. Carmical enjoys spending time with his loved ones. He likes being outdoors, especially kayaking and fishing nearby rivers, and taking advantage of the northwest Arkansas trails, either on foot or mountain bike. At home he can often be found in the kitchen, taking on big cooking and baking projects.
